I was just in Sri Lanka and avoided plastic bottles by using Aquatabs and staying at places that provided filtered water, but still saw fellow travellers reaching for small bottles of water when they were offered. Although one of the thing travell...Great piece Lou. Although one of the thing travellers need to do is understand that tap water in many countries IS safe. It's amazing how many people 'reach for the bottle' in such places when travelling when they wouldn't at home.
